Nevada County Arts Council seeks a proactive, strategic, and hands-on Communications Manager to shape and lead its storytelling across platforms, and across the region. Applicants will have a proven track record of leading transformative campaigns with originality and precision, and will thrive as part of a team.

As the umbrella agency for the Arts in Nevada County, Nevada County Arts Council is both a convener and collaborator—amplifying the work of local artists, arts organizations, and community partners.

At the same time, its programmatic footprint spans arts education, advocacy, gap planning, and cultural research. With its partners, the Council administers two of the state’s fourteen California Cultural Districts.

Applicants will have the confidence, creativity, and diplomacy to shape a regional voice for the arts that is both inclusive and inspiring, supporting the unique identities of Truckee Cultural District and Grass Valley-Nevada City Cultural District, while elevating both the Council’s own impact and that of the broader arts ecosystem it serves.

Significantly, the Communications Manager will anchor the implementation of a regional marketing plan for the arts, itself a key component of the first-ever Arts & Culture Action Plan, Culture Forward, for Nevada County. This community-led plan releases in late summer, 2025.
