Together We’re Creating Nevada County’s First Arts & Culture Action Plan

Nevada County Arts Council and our two California Cultural Districts
are creating a countywide Arts and Culture Action Plan to shape the future
of arts, culture and creativity throughout Nevada County, California.

Arts, culture, and creativity strengthens our lives,
promotes civic engagement, encourages community problem-solving,
and builds bridges across cultures.

Our goal is to advance arts, culture, and creativity to benefit the people
who live in, work in, and visit Nevada County.

Objectives

  • Strengthen the arts ecosystem of Nevada County by identifying and growing resources to support artists, creatives, culture bearers, and arts organizations.

  • Center arts and culture in the economic future of Nevada County. 

  • Build upon our County’s history of innovation to create a thriving community for all residents and visitors.

  • Activate artists as solution partners to address our communities’ most pressing issues.

  • Lift the voices and culture of historically underserved communities.
