Nevada County Arts & Culture, in partnership with the County of Nevada, invites the public to submit artworks for consideration for our 3rd exhibition of 2026 under Art in Public Spaces.

The exhibition will celebrate 175 years of the County of Nevada and will be displayed in the lobby of the Nevada County Government Center in Nevada City.

Theme

Artworks will be selected based on their relevance to the exhibition’s theme: Nevada County’s 175th Anniversary. Artworks should relate to the following prompts:

  • What does it mean to be a Nevada County resident?

  • What makes Nevada County unique?

  • The stories, people, places, events, nature, and history that shape our identity.

Key Dates

  • Submissions Open — July 9

  • Submission Deadline — Aug 6 at 11:59 pm PST

  • Notifications — mid-Aug

  • Artwork Drop Off — Sep 14, 9-11am

  • Exhibition — Sep 21, 2026 - Feb 2027

Artwork Submission

Artwork submission is free. Each artist may submit up to 5 artworks.
