what is the artist & gallery guide?
The annual Nevada County Artist and Gallery Guide highlights Nevada County as the premier visual arts destination in the Sierra Nevada foothills and Truckee-Tahoe region and reflects the county’s unique position as the only rural county statewide with two California Cultural District designations. In the year to come 7,500 hard copies will be distributed to locations across Nevada County and beyond, including San Francisco, Sacramento, Chico, and Reno, with a web version and an infinite online distribution.
We want Nevada County’s already rich visual arts community to be recognized, and to further thrive. We are starting small – our priority being to build a strong visual arts family. Throughout the coming year year we will be working closely with our artist participants to refine our guide’s look, feel and content for the coming years.
