The 30th Annual California Clay Competition: A Statewide Juried Exhibition. May 3 - 31,  2019

The competition is open to all artists residing in California. Clay must be the primary medium. All work must be for sale, through the duration of the show and made within the past 2 years. Functional or Sculptural. Work must fit through a standard door frame and weigh no more than can be easily handled by 2 adults. $15 per artwork. Juror: Bill Abright.

The Annual CALIFORNIA CLAY COMPETITION EXHIBIT is sponsored by The Artery and held in conjunction with the California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Art (sponsored by the John Natsoulas Gallery in Davis). The Artery, home of the Artists' Cooperative of Davis, has sponsored the Competition since 1990 to give California ceramic artists an opportunity to display their work during the California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Art.
